Dispensary General Manager (cannabis)
Overview:
Seeking a Dispensary GM to manage a new retail cannabis dispensary opening in a cutting-edge space located in Highland Park, NJ just minutes away from Main Street, across the river from Rutgers University. As the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all aspects of our dispensary's daily operations.
Reporting: directly to the executive team and founders
Location: Highland Park, NJ
Pay: $70,000-$90,000 + sales/incentive commission + bonus potential
Duties:
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of dispensary staff to achieve exceptional customer service and operational excellence.
- Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to state and local regulations governing cannabis sales, maintaining a deep understanding of CRC regulations, and adapting operations as policies evolve.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, including procurement, stocking, and auditing to maximize product availability and minimize discrepancies.
- Customer Experience: Create a welcoming and informative environment for customers, ensuring their needs are met and providing education on products.
- Financial Management: Manage the dispensary's financial health, including budgeting, sales forecasting, and expense control.
- Marketing and Outreach: Utilize CRM and marketing tools to develop and execute marketing strategies, including online marketplaces such as Weedmaps, Leafly, and others.
- Vendor Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with product vendors to ensure a diverse and high-quality product selection.
- Compliance Inspections: Interface with state regulators and manage compliance inspections, ensuring all required documentation and protocols are in place.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant management experience, preferably in the cannabis industry.
- Strong understanding of CRC regulations and the ability to adapt operations as policy evolves.
- Comfortable interfacing with state regulators and managing compliance inspections.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive with minimal supervision.
- Experienced with Metrc Seed-to-Sale tracking, or similar
- Experienced with Dutchie Point of Sale and E-comm, or related software
- Experienced with Cannabis marketplaces such as Weedmaps, Leafly, etc.
- Experienced with CRM & Marketing tools (Alpine IQ, SpringBig, or similar).

Pay: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
