The primary duty of this job will include unloading rail cars and trucks and moving the bulk wheat into storage and mixing bins. Performing regular preventive maintenance on the equipment will be important. There will be an opportunity to learn and perform other functions, such and flour milling and flour loadout. As with most jobs at a flour mill, housekeeping will be an ongoing duty for this position.

The schedule for this job will be vary, depending on the needs around the mill. Sometimes the shift will be 2pm to approximately midnight. Other times it will be 7pm to 7:30am.

Requirements of a successful Flour Mill Utility Operator:

• High School diploma or GED required
• Strong mechanical aptitude is a plus
• Organized individual who can plan
• Reliable transportation to and from the mill

Here are some of the physical requirements of this role:

• This job can be physically strenuous
• You will be expected to be able to work in tight and confined spaces
• You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more
• You will be required to wear PPE
