Job Description

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Zero Trust Assessor, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a Zero Trust Assessor joining our team to assist the Department of Veterans Affairs continue its journey towards Zero Trust maturity.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Develops computer systems specifications that address business requirements and fit with company/customer system architecture standards
  • Research and recommend approaches for VA's Zero Trust planning, and execution across multiple pillars within the infrastructure.
  • Assist with VA's Zero Trust strategic policy and guidance development and directives to further VA's Zero Trust maturity.
  • Align ZT efforts with Federal and DoD strategic planning and guidance documents such as EO 14028, OMB M-22-09,CISA Zero Trust Maturity Model v2.0, DoD Zero Trust Reference Architecture v2.0, DoD ZT Strategy and Roadmap, and NIST SP 800-207, Zero Trust Architecture.
  • Track and report on Zero Trust roadmap progress, identify risks and issues, and recommend remediation actions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and teams to ensure Zero Trust policies and procedures align with the VA's mission and objectives.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience or Master’s degree and 8+ years
  • A thorough understanding of CISA and DoD's Zero Trust Maturity Models, pillars, capabilities, activities, and outcomes
  • Experience with enterprise security architecture, including designing, building, and maintaining enterprise IT systems
  • Experience with defining security requirements, security assessments and security recommendations using industry standards as reference models
  • Experience with enterprise cloud systems
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust framework- pillars/capabilities and best practice, Cybersecurity and Threat-based frameworks, and latest trends
  • Ability to obtain a public trust clearance
