DESCRIPTION OF WORK

A Human Resource Analyst 1 as Labor Relations Coordinator and manages LR activity for the facility with support from the HR Director. This provides technical assistance, advice, and guidance to administration, management and supervisory staff in the interpretation of contract language to ensure consistent administration of contract provisions for seven labor contracts covering bargaining unit rank and file employees. Human Resource Analyst 1 provides guidance to supervisors and managers regarding employee issues of time and attendance including identifying patterns, placing employees on letters of restriction, coordinates with FMLA coordinator, and works with employees to improve poor attendance records. Other duties include reviewing administrative, supervisory, and certified investigations; makes recommendations to HR and Facility Directors regarding appropriate corrective actions for violations of policies; facilitating Labor Management meetings with those unions representing facility employees. Promotes harmonious relations between unions and management through equitable and peaceful resolution of difference and conducting grievance investigations, compiles documentation, and presents at grievances and to committee and arbitration panels.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time in office 2 days; telework 3 days. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience in the performance of technical human resource duties; and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
