HR Assistant
PV Labels Inc. is looking for an HR assistant to undertake a variety of HR administrative duties. An important part of your role will be to act as the liaison between HR and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions. To be an ideal candidate for the human resources assistant position you should possess excellent organization skills, strong communication skills, knowledge of CA labor laws, and be bilingual in English and Spanish. You should also be able to work autonomously and remain calm under pressure. Ultimately, you’ll ensure our HR department is organized and operates smoothly to attract, hire and retain our employees.
The HR Assistant must be willing to work at our Santa Ana location 1 day a week once they have acclimated in their role.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Compile and update employee records
- Support administration, coordination, and application of company-wide human resources policies, procedures, and practices
- Respond to inquiries regarding benefits, policies, procedures, programs, or any HR-related matters
- Assist with coordinating HR projects
- Assist in payroll preparation
- Prepare reports as necessary
- Monitor daily time punches for accuracy
- Coordinate safety meetings, employee training, safety programs, and ensure compliance
- Schedule interviews
- Perform general clerical duties including but not limited to filing, photocopying, faxing, and mailing
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues
- Maintain and order supplies for the human resources department as needed
- Stay up to date on employment law and business-related legislature
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:
- One to two years related experience or education equivalent
- Basic knowledge of CA labor laws and regulations
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
- Acute attention to detail
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Basic knowledge of ADP Workforce Now is a plus

- Frequently required to stand, walk, or sit

- Occasionally utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard
