General Position Summary
Performs full scope of clerical and para-professional responsibilities in the operation of Youth Services department and a Branch Library.
Qualifications

- Education, Certification, & Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 6 months related experience and/or training
- Library experience preferred
- Valid Driver's License
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Language Skills – Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Mathematical Skills – Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
- Computer Skills – To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Polaris Database software; Internet browser software and Microsoft Office suite.

Salary
This is an hourly, non-exempt position, with a wage range of $ 15.03- $ 19.57 per hour. The pay range listed here reflects the FULL pay range for this position for the current fiscal year. Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Schedule
The normal work schedule is 19 hours per week; exact schedules are assigned by management. It is the attendance standard of the employer that all employees be present and on time each shift they are scheduled to work. or partial absence during any scheduled shift, arriving late, or leaving early, for whatever reason, may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. Time off may be approved if allowed by applicable policies covering illness, injury, or other personal emergency.
