Inclusive Care Specialist
Basic Responsibilities
Provide quality, client-specific, childcare for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
Identify and address problematic behaviors in accordance with Positive Behavior Support Techniques
Help children learn and grow through interactive play and appropriate behavior modeling
Ensure effective communication between all support and family members
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in early childhood education, psychology, nursing, counseling or related field, plus one year of related experience with children with autism spectrum disorders;
or the equivalent of two years of college coursework with a concentration in early childhood education, psychology, nursing, counseling or related field, plus four years of related experience with children with autism spectrum disorders.
Familiar with the approaches to intervention based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis.
Demonstrate good judgement, decision making, and communication skills.
Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Valid CPR certification.
Reliable transportation, proof of valid California driver’s license, safe driving record, proper auto insurance and vehicle registration.
Must be loving, dependable and able to multitask.
Must be able to ensure effective communication with parents and family members.
Must be able to work flexible hours.
Bilingual skills are a plus.
