Scheduling Coordinator - Game Shows


 

Game Show Network’s Scheduling & Acquisitions department is looking for a Scheduling Coordinator to join the team. This position will consist of varied projects on an as-needed basis, including but not limited to coordinating with other members of the scheduling department and other departments on scheduling initiatives for several television networks across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Performing daily functions in the scheduling database to coordinate and maintain the linear schedules for two feature movie networks and other traditional and FAST networks, as needed
  • Assisting with asset metadata creation and inputting it across multiple databases, including Wide Orbit Program
  • Creating metadata CSV files for VOD; other tasks related to VOD support and implementation as needed including sending VOD planners, movies, and artwork to external partners
  • Generating and distributing program schedule grids and reports as needed to internal and external partners, updating with changes as required
  • Working closely with Traffic and other departments to make sure episodic movie timings and schedule data accurately flows between databases
  • Generating and maintaining multiple excel-based spreadsheets (including heavy data-entry)
  • Performing administrative tasks and record-keeping related to movie content, schedules, standards, competitive networks, and acquisitions
  • Administrative support for SVP and Executive Director, including SVP calendar; other department-related administrative support as needed
  • Processing invoices for payment from across the scheduling department
  • Completing special projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Very comfortable with heavy data entry and have solid experience with database applications
  • Well-organized with the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to follow directives but not hesitant to ask questions
  • Strong interpersonal skills; works well on teams and independently
  • Adept with all MS Office software
  • Strong working knowledge of traditional television, multiplatform viewing & new media industries
  • The ability to collaborate across the organization to achieve goals
  • Genuine desire to be proactive during downtime and to help other team members succeed
  • Required Minimum: BA/BS Degree or commensurate television experience
  • Required Minimum: The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of television industry experience in Program Scheduling or related experience in Traffic, Promo Scheduling, Media Planning, Research, Marketing, Sales Operations, or Interactive/New Media
  • Preferred: Experience with a scheduling or traffic database is a plus, but not required
The anticipated base salary for this position is $50,000 to $60,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
