Collection Specialist

This is a temporary position for up to 6 months, that could possibility to go full-time. We also provide additional compensation incentives for meeting collection quotas

Job description: We are looking for a self-driven Collection Specialist to join our team! As a Collection Specialist your main responsibility will be to contact clients and collect missed and outstanding payments. You will maintain records of contacts for both delinquent and current receivable accounts using Excel. In addition, you may be responsible for other aspects of collections including helping to resolve collection delays (pricing, billing, other, etc.).

Responsibilities and Requirements:

· 1-2 years high volume collection experience

· Excellent customer service skills

· Problem solving and critical thinking skills

• Claim/account resolution
• Knowledge of various collection techniques to collect unpaid debts
• Intermediate Outlook and Excel
• Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
• Ability to handle high email volume and follow up
• Have the ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Identify problem accounts and escalate when needed
• Maintain professional interactions with clients/customers to present a positive company image while helping to resolve outstanding invoices
• Attention to detail
• FileHandler experience & Insurance Claim Collections a plus
• GED or High School diploma required

In this role, communication is essential.The goal of the collection specialist is to recover overdue debt while following legal and ethical collection practices.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift and/or move objects. The employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger and grasp, using repetitive motions; talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, stand, walk, push, pull, lift and feel. This job requires the employee to have close visual acuity.

Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.

Pay: Up to $24.00 per hour
