Production Assistant [United States]
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $25.75 to $30 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, in addition to a full range of generous medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
POSITION OBJECTIVE:

This position provides administrative, accounting and clerical support to the Production Department.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains seasonal bulk quota worksheets for specialty products and reconciles with Packing Belt balance to pack.
- Generates and distributes the departmental reports, including but not limited to: Daily Labor Variance, Daily Productivity, Weekly Hours, Monthly Expense Budget, Monthly Productivity, Scrap and Rejects, Rollins Productivity (SF only), Monthly Laundry and Uniform Costs (SF). Word processes Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and other training documents as assigned by Management.
- Records minutes for daily, weekly and other scheduled departmental meetings and distributes to management, as required.
- Maintains central filing system for Production Library, including financial statements, preoperative inspections, weekly hours reports, weekly and monthly production reports, and company rules, policies and safety reports.
- Maintains inventory of first aid and safety supplies and distributes to plant personnel as required; orders production and office supplies; coordinates, orders, and tracks uniform requests.
- Sorts and distributes all Production Department mail; prepares and updates forms; creates and completes excel spreadsheets, graphs, signs, and bulletins; prepares vacation schedule for Production Operations department; prepares capital expenditure requests as required.
- Provides absence and vacation relief for other Production Assistant(s), including taking various inventory counts (Goods in Process, raw materials, supplies, etc.) in Plant facilities.
- Assists with special projects as assigned by the Management Team.
- Creates and maintains communication boards in Production areas.
- Responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance technology and innovation that will improve departmental effectiveness.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated PC proficiency, including super-user skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- 3+ years’ experience in an Administrative Assistant capacity.
- Detail oriented, strong organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Strong math and analytical skills; solid Excel spreadsheet development skills required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work extended days (overtime) and Saturdays, as required during holiday production periods.
- Ability to lift upwards of 25-30 lbs.
- Experience with an ERP system or similar raw materials procurement program preferred.
- Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and manage change efficiently, proactively and in a positive manner.
