JOB PURPOSE:

The National Work Comp Claim Specialist (NWCCS) oversees all aspects of workers’ compensation order processing. The NWCCS will ensure that workers’ compensation claims are processed promptly, increase employee availability, minimize financial liability while meeting legal, contractual, and ethical obligations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and process client orders daily which involves claims indexing, timely processing of
workers’ compensation orders, providing direction to claims professionals through management involvement and claim review.
- Obtain and verify claim information, accident details, carrier billing information and necessary documents from providers/payers.
- Receive and process workers’ compensation orders in a timely manner, including review of submission and receipt of determination from providers/payer.
- Guide and monitor the entire claims handling process.
- Establish and maintain communication with external and internal customers on process of work comp orders.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Two (2) years of related customer service, workers compensation, or claims processing
experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Superior written and verbal communication, listening, organization and priority setting skills.
- Solid critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and computations skills.
